"In
The Message of Shadow"
by Dana Haan
When
we're born into this world, we're born into the giant mind
of "now what?". We're
then tossed about in the winds of time and change combined
with the influences of belief systems, parental "knows
best", social ABnorms, and the bliss of never ending hype
born to any current event. What we come up with mid point via
mid life is usually a mixture of hurts and whodunnits that
can bring down Superman himself. However, pain is also useful
in teaching us about our own time and movement concerning integration
and balance. Sometimes we need to reach out to those traveling
paths along side of our own in order to gain unity and understanding
that enables us to branch out attaining more growth and vigor.
In
my Shadow work, I've seen people ask the same question over
and over again; "Why
do I keep doing these things and yet I can't seem to change
it?" Well, the answer to that is an individual one and
it entails the WANT to invoke a change that propels our momentum.
Shadow work is hard work. One must be ready to bring on and
manifest change and growth. This takes great courage and consistency
in the art of Shadow. There are things we'd rather choose NOT
to see, thus, no growth or change to promote growth.
Shadow
isn't to be taken lightly. One must be dedicated to the SELF
and the higher mind of SELF in order to benefit from Shadow
work. What lies in your Shadow? Things that are grueling,
ugly and downright scary. But if you REALLY want to change
your behavior and your life, then you'll find the embrace
of the Shadow to be fulfilling and that it becomes a "tool" in
your own integration.
As my
Sisters from SOA say: ~"May you never thirst"~
