THE GIFT OF A HEALER
"I really believe that my mentor is the best. Dana Martine is my
mentor, and she has taught me more things than anyone has. I started
out not knowing a whole lot about Path. My oldest son is the one who
got me started in this direction, but without having her guidance, I
know that I would be at a loss. Especially since I have met a few
other teachers out in the world. Dana Martine is real, sincere,
honest, very spiritual, a great mentor/friend, and just the all
around best. I'm not trying to put her up on a pedestal, but I am
being very honest. I guess I need to explain a little why I feel this
way. I grew up with a very abusive childhood. Out of 14 children and
5 marriages between both parents, I am basically one of the middle
children. I have always wondered why my parents have treated me so
different all my life. Dana Martine has guided in the right
direction, so that I could heal from my abusive childhood, and so
that I could understand why my parents treated me so different. The
reason is, is because I am different. She is a true woman who has
shown me how to get to know the real me, the spiritual side of
myself. I have spent all my life fighting depression, because I
didn't know how to deal with what had been done to me. I have also
been married for over 19 years to a very controlling husband, and I
just let him do it. I didn't know how to fight it or change it, and
was Dana Martine's teaching that has shown me how to go inside
myself, and to learn how to fight it on my own. She didn't do the
work for me, she showed me how to do it myself. How to heal myself,
to become a better and stronger woman.... and to be happier. I
really want to thank her for all that she has done for me. It's not a
perfect world, so I still have issues that come up, that I have to
deal with. But I am more relaxed, excited, looking forward to the
next thing that I am to learn, and finally after 38 years am enjoying
life. In my opinion, Dana Martine is the greatest mentor around. And
to Dana Martine, I hope that as you read this, you know that you are
greatly appreciated by myself and my son, (Brian Manannan. Thank you
for all the help that you have given us. Without you, I don't think
the either one of us would be healing properly, and learning as much
as we have."
